Peter Branch - Profile

From a very early age Peter helped train, groom and show dogs at Championship level.

Joining the Military straight after completing school, he was rapidly identified as someone who could be given responsibility, and was tasked to help with the role of looking after the Regimental hounds, a role he enjoyed and flourished in. Whilst in the Military, Peter was involved in a wide range of roles including many different aspects of security work.

Since leaving the Military with a distinguished record, he has taken every opportunity to develop further his work with dogs. As well as running his own dog training school, and security company.
 
In 2004 Peter entered a National security trials championship winning the Protection and Agility round and was awarded the Title of overall Champion.
 
In 2005 Peter again entered the trials achieving First place in the Obedience and Agility, and Second place in the Protection round, once again being awarded overall chanpion.
 
In 2006 he entered the A1K9 UK Challenge a tough competition aimed at serving Police, Army, Prison Service and Security handlers, where he came a creditable second overall.

In 2007 Peter completed filming for the 'Dark Knight' the current Batman movie, where he and two of his dogs can be seen chasing Batman.

In 2007 Peter came 3rd in The Yorkshire Working and Service Dog Trials.

Peter has achieved a Diploma in Dog breeding together with a teaching Qualification and certificates in Animal Welfare and puppy training. He is an accredited trainer and examiner, with his own well equipped training grounds

2007 – Overall Winner of the AIK9 UK Trials Championship
2007- Performed with his Dogs in the Bat man film "Dark Knight"
2009 - Overall winner Mali Club UK Olympics
2010 - Awarded Master Trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers
2010 - Overall winner of the Mali Club UK Olympics
2010 - Achieved Bronze, Silver and Gold GCDS Awards with his GSD Lexi
2010 - Achieved Bronze and Silver GCDS Awards with his young Patterdale Terrier Layla
2010 - Attended training course with BIPDT and qualified as a dog and handler Assessor
2010 - Achieved Bronze, Silver and Gold GCDS Awards with Miss B, a Malinois
2011 - UKPPDA - Agility Winner (100/100),
2011 - UKPPDA - Obedience Winner (94/100)
